INSURGENT -- CHAPTER 45
Tris has killed her twin with the single shot she fired. She rushes past the dead body and makes it to the nearby door. Inside, she finds both Jeanine and Tori. Tori made it there before Tris. Tris is baffled by how Tori conquered the simulation.
Tori is intent on getting revenge on Jeanine. Tori believes that Jeanine killed or somehow was involved in the killing of her brother. Tori tries to get Jeanine to state her brother’s name by threatening her with a gun. Jeanine attempts to describe the reason behind her actions; however, Tori isn’t listening.
Tris knows that Jeanine is the only chance to retrieve the secret information from the computer. Just before Tori shoots at Jeanine, Tris jumps in and intervenes. Tori and Tris scuffle a bit while Jeanine urges Tris to save her. Alas, Tris’ attempts are in vain since Tori is the better fighter. When she has an opportunity Tori uses a knife to stab Jeanine to death. Jeanine dies and Tris is labeled a traitor.
