Juliet complains that the Nurse is taking too long to return. The clock struck nine when she was sent out and she promised to return after half an hour. Juliet worries that she couldn’t find Romeo, but she knows this couldn’t be true. Romeo wanted to be found.

Finally, the Nurse arrives. She is tired and she tells Juliet that she is out of breath. Juliet, in a hurry to hear what Romeo said, jokes that the Nurse can’t be out of breath if she had the breath to tell her that she is out of breath. The Nurse tells Juliet that she made a good choice with Romeo. He is a good looking, well-mannered young man. Juliet encourages the Nurse to tell her what he said about marriage, but the Nurse keeps on putting the news off to tease her. Finally, the Nurse tells Juliet to go to confession. There, Romeo will be waiting to marry her with the help of Friar Lawrence.
