The epilogue is shaped like a letter or email from Ava Paige, the Chancellor. It’s a memorandum that she’s written about group A of the Maze Trials.
Ava writes on how successful the trials were. She hints on how all of the Variables were set up, even the “rescue” at the end. She’s actually surprised so many of the kids survived.
Ava also writes about how she thinks the leader is an obvious choice. She goes onto mention how she was happy that the girl wrote “Wicked is good” on her arm. According to Ava, Wicked is indeed good since it’s trying to keep humanity intact.
Lastly, Ava mentions two more things: the kids are going to be starting Stage 2 tomorrow and group B also did very well.
